Thirty years of notebooks, sticky notes, voice memos and a folder called "Book Stuff."No wonder your manuscript feels overwritten...because it is.
Often, my main job is to delete, hone, and refine so your readers enjoy the reading.
There is a difference between delivering information and creating a reader experience.

Most boring books aren't written by boring people...no, not at all.They're written by experts who know so much about their subject they don't think like the reader they're teaching. It's flat, dry, not nearly as interesting as it could be...That's usually the chapter
where readers start checking how many pages are left.
Ban the bland, baby.

Both books promise to end procrastination. IMHO this should
be should be a short read.But OK, it's long. Now the problem is:
one feels like homework and the other feels like progress.Same information, delivered differently, lands differently.
People remember what they recognize.
